In the early morning hours of May 20th, Nancy Run and Bethlehem Township Fire and EMS units were dispatched to Route 33 South and Interstate 78 for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engine 1411 responded staffed with a crew of four. Shortly into the response, the Northampton County Communications Center advised that callers are now reporting a single patient who was ejected from the vehicle and is unresponsive. Engine 1411 arrived on scene to find a single vehicle up an embankment on its roof. 1454 (Captain Austin) assumed command and instructed his crew to assist EMS with patient care and securing of the vehicle. The female patient was secured, loaded and transported by Bethlehem Township EMS 1784 to a local trauma facility. Fire crews remained on the scene until the vehicle was towed.
