Crews handle car fire on the Southside of Bethlehem Township.

On Sunday evening just before 7:00pm fire stations 14 and 17 were alerted for a vehicle fire in the 1700 block of Hampton Road. 1452 was first to arrive on scene to find a working engine compartment fire on a Mazda SUV. 1751 arrived shortly after and assumed command while 1452 went in service with a halligan bar and water can. Engine 1712 arrived and crews stretched a line from the front bumper to extinguish the fire. Once extinguished the crews overhauled the vehicle to check for any hots spots. Command released all units after the investigation was completed.
