On Monday night firefighters from Nancy Run were trained on a new cutting torch that is going to be carried on Engine 1412. The torch is a combination of gasoline and oxygen called a Petro Torch. The torch is capable of cutting up to 4" thick steel plate. Crews were trained by Township resident and welder Brenden Ferry. Brenden is a full time Iron Worker and works with cutting torches and welders on a day to day basis. His experience and willingness to help the fire department was greatly appreciated.
