Monday night March 8th NRFC firefighters trained on air packs and handlines. The night started off with timed air pack donning drills. Specialist Mike August lead the way with the quickest time of 41 seconds. After two timed runs, Assistant Chief Hauze appointed teams of two for a small firefighter challenge. The teams were instructed to don their SCBA and drag a hoseline 100' to a traffic cone where they then had to charge the line and knock the cone down. The crews finished with team #3 Lt. Sabo and Specialist August tying #4 Firefighter Seeds and Probationary Firefighter Rampulla. While all crews had fun it was also a great training on SCBA and hoseline management.
