On Tuesday, January 22, Nancy Run Fire Company was called into the City of Allentown with a request for Special Operations 1442. A fire at Youell's Oyster House brought out most of Allentown's night shift to battle the blaze. Due to Woodlawn Fire Company's cascade unit being out of service, 1442 was asked to assist. Arriving on scene, 1442 was told to stage in front of the building. 1442 was used to fill air cylinders and provided light rehab to the firefighters such as coffee and hot chocolate. The truck was also used to provide lighting to the scene. The unit remained on scene for about five hours untill being released by Chief Scheirer. Nancy Run wishes well and a speedy recovery to the firefighters hurt in the blaze.
