On Tuesday evening crews, were dispatched to the Koehler Farm on Freemansburg Avenue for a report of smoke coming from hay bales. Crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke showing from the middle of the pile. Crews worked on scene for almost 9 hours flowing mulitple large diameter hose lines and breaking up the bales with machinery. Several water tenders were used for additional water supply around the piles. Approximately 300 tons of hay burned.
