Crews make agressive stop on early evening dwelling fire.

Nancy Run, Bethlehem Township and Palmer Fire Departments were dispatched for an early evening dwelling fire. Initial reports were of a working attached garage fire. Shortly after dispatch Chief 1451 requested a R.I.T response and filled the first alarm assignment. Chief 1751 was first to arrive on scene and found heavy fire showing from the garage area of the two story residence. Engine 1411 arrived next due and crews stretched a line through the front door. Engine 1712 arrived next due establishing a water supply. Palmer Ladder 2721 arrived third due and set the stick up for outside vent. Interior crews made an aggressive stop. The additional companies were used for manpower, overhaul and salvage operations. The fire was placed under control in about one hour.
