Nancy Run and Bethlehem Township Fire Departments along with Rapid Intervention Crew (RIC) Engine 2312 were dispatched to a working dwelling fire around 4:00pm Sunday afternoon. Assistant Chief Brian Kelly (1753) was first to arrive on scene and reported smoke from the second floor of a single family split level dwelling. Engine 1411 was the first arriving piece of fire apparatus and immediately went in to attack mode. Truck 1421 arrived next due and went to work on the roof with Engine 1712 arrving third and establishing a water supply. Excellent coordination between the attack crew and the vent crew lead to a quick knock down of the room and contents fire. Crews remained on scene until about 6:00pm salvaging items and overhauling the scene. The fire is still under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office.
