New Light and Air Unit chassis arrives at Hackney.

Initial photos of the chassis for our new Special Operations Unit (1442), which is currently being built by Hackney Emergency Vehicles in Washington, North Carolina, are here. The truck will be a light, air and rehab unit capable of continuous refilling of breathing apparatus as well as supplying any other air related needs, light tower and portable lighting. It will also stock supplies and equipment for firefighter rehab. This new apparatus is anticipated to be in service late May to early June.
