On Friday November 19th at 3:36PM Fire 14 and 17 were dispatched to the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Ohio Street for a reported house on fire. Captain Hodges (1755) arrived on location establishing Bethlehem Township command updating he has a two-story single-family home with fire showing on the B/C side. Engine 1411 arrived as the first due engine and secured their own water supply in the front of the home. 1411s officer and nozzleman entered the front door of the home and located a fire in the kitchen on the B/C side of the home. As the nozzleman made a quick knock of the fire, crews were updated that there were possibly 4 dogs inside the residence. Crews from 1411 along with PMFD Commissioner 2750 began searching for the pets. Crews were able to quickly locate and remove 3 dogs and 1 cat. Unfortunately, 1 dog was deceased and located during the secondary searches and overhaul. The fire was reported under control at 3:48PM. Crews remained on scene to assist in the investigation until 7:15PM.
