You may have been stuck in traffic last Sunday as a result of this serious accident.
Fortunately, so were two of our members. Lt. Joshua Sigley and Lt. Mikal Germaine were running errands together when this accident occurred. They ran from their stopped vehicle to assist PA State Police. Without regard to their own safety, they climbed into the wreckage to perform life saving actions on the trapped victim. They administered CPR until rescue crews arrived.
Because of these actions, it can be reasonably inferred that they contributed to the return of pulses to this victim and the ability to have her transported to the local trauma center.
All and all, it was an excellent team effort between Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company, and us as well as the City of Bethlehem EMS for their excellent treatment and transport of this victim.
