Crews were put to work as Special Operations Unit 1442 responded this morning to a Second Alarm structure fire.

Chief 14 and four members were assigned fire attack, search & overhaul with the Northampton Borough Fire Department.

The fire was initially knocked by the first arriving engine who had a well involved fire throughout the apartment building. Those efforts resulted in the rescue of several occupants and pets inside the building.
