Township companies run entrapment calls on Route 22.

Bethlehem Township fire companies were put into service on Route 22 for two back to back motor vehicle accidents this evening. Engine 1411 first responded to mile marker 328.7 for a three vehicle accident with entrapment, shutting down the eastbound lanes. Firefighters from stations 14 & 17 assisted with packaging of several patients and removed debris from the roadway. Patients were transported by EMS 17 to a local trauma center.

While on scene, 1411, 1741 and Hanover Township station 15 were dispatched to mile marker 327 for a second collision, reported with heavy entrapment. On scene, Chief 15 and Chief 14 reported a Jeep into the rear of a tractor-trailer. The highway remained shut down in the eastbound lanes at Schoenersville Rd while one patient was extricated from the vehicle. EMS 17 transported to a local trauma center.

In the first two days of June, Nancy Run has responded to 12 calls for service, including 6 vehicle accidents, two miscellaneous fires and a mutual aid structure fire.
