On Sunday morning, fire and EMS stations 14 and 17 were dispached to a single vehicle accident on the Route 22 East to Route 33 southbound ramp. 1452 arrived on scene and established command. Engine 1411 arrived and took a blocking position just prior to where a single vehicle had impacted the end of the guardrail on the west side of the ramp. The guardrail entered the right side of the vehicle at the rear passinger door and made exit through the left side rear passinger door. Approximately 12 feet of guardrail protruded out of the left side of the vehicle with the rear door completely off the vehicle and laying in the grass about 30 feet away. Crews from Rescue 1741 and Engine 1411 assisted with scene cleanup and EMS 1782 attended to the female driver and transported her to the hospital.
