Just after 1000hrs on May 13th, Freemansburg Fire Company was dispatched to the 200 block of Juniata Street for a reported dwelling fire. The first arriving unit, Engine 1212, arrived on scene confirming a working fire in a three story middle of the row home with fire showing from the second floor on the Alpha side. Engine 1212 went into service with one hand line. Upon the confirmation of a working fire, Engine 1412 and Tower Ladder 1421 were added to the assignment. Engine 1412 went responding within three minutes of dispatch with a crew of three. Tower Ladder 1421 followed shortly after with four men. Upon Arrival, crews immediately went to work throwing ground ladders, assisting with extinguishment and checking the Bravo and Delta exposures for extension. The engine and tower ladder remained on scene for about an hour to assist with extensive overhaul. Due to the aggressive interior attack by companies on scene, the fire was held to the second division of the original fire building with minor extension to the third floor. Companies from station 14 were made available and returned to station within two hours of initial dispatch.
