On March 8, 2013 at 0020hrs., station 14 and 17 fire/EMS units were dispatched to a dwelling fire on Prescott Road. 1451 (Chief Hauze) arrived on scene and reported a fully involved dwelling. After supplying his update and during his scene size up, he was able to snap a picture. This picture was taken five minutes after fire units were initially dispatched. As you can see the dwelling was already well off. Crews operated on scene for approximately five hours and fought the fire in a defensive/exterior mode. No one was home and no injuries were reported. Assisting stations 14 and 17 were Freemansburg 12, West Easton 23 (RIT), Palmer Township 27, Hecktown 53 and Steel City 63. Williams Township 28 and Fountain Hill 34 (Lehigh County) assisted with covering Bethlehem Township while units operated the dwelling fire. Thank you to all the mutual aid companies that assisted Bethlehem Township units.
