At 1032 hours on Monday morning Nancy Run firefighters were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on the ramp leading from Route 33 South to Route 22 East. Engine 1411 arrived and reported a tractor trailer on its side with the driver self-extricated and not injured. Captain Zack Austin (1454) assumed command. The truck was hauling a confetti-like substance that spilled on to the lane of traffic on Route 22 East. Crews from Nancy Run and Bethlehem Township Fire Companies controlled associated hazards and assisted Fast Lane Towing as needed with the clean up and recovery efforts.
