Nancy Run firefighters respond to several calls as 2010 gets started.

The New Year brought several runs for Nancy Run firefighters. At 0811hrs, as 2010 was just getting started, a vehicle fire was dispatched on Route 33 North. Engine 1411 arrived with nothing showing. Investigation found there had been a small fire under the vehicle which was extinguished prior to our arrival. Crews checked for any fire extension with none found. At 1013hrs, companies were dispatched for a dwelling fire on Christine Street. Additional reports indicated a kitchen fire. Lieutenant 1757 (M. Comer) from Bethlehem Township Station 17 arrived and reported nothing showing. Crews entered the home to find an extinguished kitchen fire. Crews used thermal imaging cameras to check for fire extension with none found. Crews disconnected power to the hood unit which was damaged by the fire. Just after noon, companies were dispatched for a carbon monoxide alarm. Crews checked the home with no hazardous reading of carbon monoxide found.
