Fire Station 27 (Palmer Township) was dispatched to a dwelling fire at 829 Stones Crossing Road early Saturday morning. Crews quickly arrived on scene to find a working fire in a back bedroom. Assistant Chief Andy Carr was first on scene and assumed command. A.C. Carr then requested a first alarm response which brought Engine 1412 (Nancy Run), Engine 2312 (West Easton) and a Rapid Intervention Team from Rescue 5341 (Hecktown). The crew from Ladder 2721 made a quick knock down on the fire and crews from Engine 2713 assisted with venting and overhaul. Engines 1412 and 2312 were released shortly after arrival and the RIT assignment stayed on scene until the firefighting operations were complete.
