New tower ladder in service.

The new Tower Ladder 1421 is now in service! This 2016 Spartan/ERV has replaced our 1992 Simon Duplex/LTI. After taking delivery in May, she was outfitted with the radios and equipment. This truck has a 100' aerial ladder, 2000gpm pump, 300 gallon water tank and carries a full complement of truck company equipment. Around 9am on February 15th Bethlehem Township fire departments were dispatched to Oakland Road and Easton Avenue for a dwelling fire. Immediately after dispatch, the communication center put out the information tones and advised police on scene were reporting a house fully involved with fire. Bethlehem Township fire companies were dispatched to Route 22 East in the late morning hours for a vehicle fire. Companies arrived to find a fully involved vehicle and small brush fire extending from the exposure. 1411 put the bumper line in service and knocked the fire while 1712 opened everything up. Bethlehem Township companies were sent to Bowler Court in the township for smoke from a roof. While units were responding, communications put out an updated address on Amherst Court with a working attic fire. Truck 1421 was the first apparatus on the and added a RIT assignment with reports a possible working fire. With additional word confirming a working fire and day time staffing levels, a 1st alarm ... Bethlehem Township companies were dispatched to the area of Route 22 and Route 191 for a brush fire. Engine 1411 was on the air in under a minute with a crew of five. Chief 1453 was first to arrive the scene, finding the fire on the Route 22 East off ramp to Route 191 with a 100' x 50' portion burning up the hill.
