By Assistant Chief Mark DeMasi
April 13, 2015

Bethlehem Township companies were dispatched to the area of Route 22 and Route 191 for a brush fire. Engine 1411 was on the air in under a minute with a crew of five. Chief 1453 was first to arrive the scene, finding the fire on the Route 22 East off ramp to Route 191 with a 100' x 50' portion burning up the hill. The ramp was shut down for the engine to proceed the wrong way into the scene. Engine 1411's crew pulled the trash line and bumper line to extinguish and overhaul the area. The incident was under control quickly and companies were available in 20 minutes.
