Squad handles second entrapment in two days.
DECEMBER 31
- On December 31st, Nancy Run and Bethlehem Township units were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Route 22 in the westbound lane. Squad 1412 left the station with a crew of three. Squad runs accident with rescue on Route 33.
DECEMBER 30
- On Friday December 30th, crews were alerted to a motor vehicle accident with rescue on Route 33 under the Interstate 78 overpass. Squad 1412 went responding with a crew of four immediately after dispatch. NOVEMBER 19
- In the early morning hours of Saturday, November 19th, Bethlehem Township fire and EMS companies were dispatched to the area of Freemansburg Avenue and Washington Street for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engine 1411 handles highway vehicle fire.
NOVEMBER 09
- Stations 14, 15 and 17 were alerted to a vehicle fire on Route 22 East at Route 191. EMS 1783 arrived on scene and advised of a working vehicle fire. 1783 shut down the highway enabling 1411 to come the wrong way on the highway. Smoke in structure at One Stop Mart.
NOVEMBER 08
- Stations 14 and 17 were dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire with smoke showing. Upon arrival, 1451 (Chief Hauze) established command and reported smoke showing from front door. Command immediately requested a RIT response from station 23 (West Easton). Engine 1411 arrived on scene and split crews to investigate the smoke condition and to establish a water supply. Surprise snowstorm keeps Station 14 busy.
NOVEMBER 04
- On October 29th a surprise snowstorm hit the Lehigh Valley, bringing six to eight inches of wet, heavy snow to the area. This snowfall knocked out the power to most of the Bethlehem Township area. From October 29th to the 30th the volunteers ran 31 calls consisting of twenty-five wire calls, three working dwelling fires and four miscellaneous calls. - On September 22, 2011 at approximately 2030hrs stations 14 and 17 were alerted for a motor vehicle accident with rollover and possible entrapment on Willow Park Road in the area of Fast Lane Towing. Firefighters challenge their skills and determination for drill.
OCTOBER 10
- This past drill night, crews challenged themselves on various different levels involving skills, personal confidence and determination. Crews were timed in completing a search drill where they had to not only find a "victim" but also find pieces of an SCBA then assemble it before rescuing the victim.
